A budding project is coming to fruition at 2401 Washington Avenue. On January 22, plans were presented to South of South Neighborhood Association (SOSNA) Zoning Committee. Currently the space is a vacant lot on the corner of 24th and Washington Avenue. The plan is to build a 5 story building that has 113 units in it. The first floor would be a commercial space and parking.
There have been a few other proposals for Washington Avenue, and none of them have made it past the idea phase, but the community seems to be supporting this project.
Harman Deutsch is the building designer for the 2401 Washington Avenue project who have a fair amount of experience building in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood and is happy to, and willing to work with the community and neighborhood associations to create a positive atmosphere for this project’s creation.
